Abstract: The article deals with a range of problems that need to be solved in order to represent one of the significant categories of stable units in the written monuments of the Russian language of the 16th–17th centuries — formulas in a differentiated historical phraseological dictionary. The definition of the term «formula» in relation to the period under consideration is given, the structure of the dictionary entry, the system of labels of different categories are proposed. Revisiting the distinguishing syntactic analytical constructions and syntactic phraseological units and expanding their composition in the Russian language
- Yu. A. Yuzhakova — Dr. Hab in Philology, Associate Professor, Professor, Ryazan State University named after S.A. Yesenin. E-mail: yu.yuzhakova@mail.ru
Abstract: In the Russian language, constructions of the type are actively used: Chelovek da i tolko; Stol i tot byl prikruchen k polu; which have not yet received an unambiguous interpretation in the linguistic literature. The interpretation of the concepts of «syntactic analytical constructions» and «syntactic phraseological units» gives grounds for possible convergence and, as a result, confusion of concepts. The article examines the structures that make up these phenomena, their similarities, differences, transition zones, outlines the principles of differentiation.
Key words: syntax, analyticism, syntactic analytical constructions, syntactic phraseological units.
The problem of existential choice in the poem by Lermontov ‘Demon’
- Lev O. Mysovskikh — PhD student, Ural Federal University named after the First President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin. E-mail: levmisov@yandex.ru
Abstract: The demon in the poem by M. Lermontov realizes the inconsistency of his existence, recognizes the meaninglessness and uselessness of the individual rebellion that separates him from life. Internal contradictions stimulate the thoughts of the Demon, he wants to reconnect with both earth and heaven. However, he is unable to overcome neither the germ of evil in his essence and his arrogant hatred of both worlds, nor to give up rebellion. The author of the article comes to the conclusion that the main reason for the defeat of Demon is that he could not overcome his evil nature and make an existential choice in favor of good.
Key words: existentialism, Russian literature, literary theory, religion, Lermontov.
From one prototype to three characters as a technique in Vsevolod Kochetov’s novel ‘Angle of Incidence’
- Boris V. Sokolov — Dr. Hab. in Philology, Ph.D. in History, Member of the International Council of Publishing Programs and Research Projects of the Association of the researchers of the Russian society (AIRO-XXI). E-mail: bvsokolov@yandex.ru
Abstract: The article is devoted to cases when three characters appear at once from one real prototype in V.A. Kochetov’s novel «Angle of Incidence» (1970). The prototype of the three main characters of the novel was a prominent Soviet and Chekist figure G.I. Blagonravov, and the characters ascending to him had their proletarian origin instead of the official origin of the prototype. Another case in the novel is connected with the episode of pardon by General S.N. Bulak-Balakhovich a Bolshevik Red Army soldier who was sentenced to be hanged in Pskov. This soldier in the novel was deployed to three executed Bolsheviks at once, only one of whom receives a pardon. It is concluded that in the case when three characters appear at once from one real prototype, each of the characters is given one of the functions inherent in the prototype.
Key words: V.A. Kochetov, «Angle of Incidence», the Russian literature of the 1960s, the Civil war, prototype.
