  • Olga A. Scryabina — Doctor habil., Associate Professor, Ryazan State University named after S.A. Yesenin. E-mail: olgaskr1@mail.ru

Abstract: The article highlights one of the urgent problems of modern Russian philological education — the formation of a person’s value orientation based on the knowledge of the native language, the discovery by a student/student of the axiological and universality of linguistic knowledge, which is considered as a leading methodological factor in the formation of a linguistic personality, worldview, attitude to the world, language and culture, the history of his people. The problem of axiological character of linguistic knowledge is analyzed in the context of the axiological approach in teaching Russian (native) language. In the course of the analysis, two aspects of the problem are actualized: the first is the proof of the value of linguistic knowledge; the second aspect is devoted to the search for a methodological solution to a practical problem — the transformation of the process of forming linguistic knowledge into an axiological process.
