The article is devoted to an important stage of Russian grammar studies which corresponds to the period at the turn of XX-XXI centuries when lexicography started to apply methods of functional-communicative approach to dictionary entries presentation. At that time some famous linguists from different countries united to elaborate a project “Slavonic prepositions in synchrony and diachrony: morphology and syntax” which aimed to create dictionaries of prepositions and their equivalents functioning in Slavonic languages. The article discusses the principles of the project and shows the results which had been obtained by Lomonosov Moscow State University linguists (the Russian part of the project researchers) while creating “lexicographic portrait” of preposition in Russian linguistics of XX century.

Emotive Phrases with the Eyes Lexeme in the Story by M. Gorky “Childhood”

The article is devoted to the description of emotive phrases with the noun eyes in Maxim Gorky’s story “Childhood”. One of the characteristic features of early 20th century art is the predominance of expression over image. In literature, this manifested itself in the most vivid form in expressionism, which tends to convey the emotional experiences of an author caused by the depicted reality. Features of expressionism are also inherent in Gorky’s works. The story reveals 80 emotive phrases with the word eyes, in which the metaphor of light and color adjectives play a special role.

Genre Features of Educational Novel in A.N. Tolstoy’s Fairy-Tale “The Golden Key, or the Adventures of Buratino”

The article is studied the problem of genre originality of A.N. Tolstoy’s work “The Golden Key, or the Adventures of Buratino”. Reliance on the works of M. Bakhtin, as well as his followers such as A. Dialektova, E. Krasnoshchekova, V. Pashigorev, etc. allowed us to identify the main features of the Bildungsroman in Tolstoy’s fairy tale, to show the monocentricity of the narrative, multiple stages of the protagonist’s character development, to reveal the general pedagogical idea inherent the whole novel-tale, and at the same time to designate a complex system of the institution of mentorship.

Developing the Oral Language Skills of Chinese Students in the Context of an Ethnocentric Approach

The article discusses various ways to optimize and improve the effectiveness of teaching Chinese students Russian oral speech. Examples of various types of work in the lesson are given, including using interactive technologies, ICT, video and audio materials. The paper describes possible difficulties that may arise when working with Chinese students, and ways to overcome them. In addition, the authors propose to familiarize themselves with the results of experiments conducted in different groups at the Faculty of Journalism and the Faculty of Philology of Lomonosov Moscow State University.

Changes in the language situation that have taken place in recent years in the post-Soviet space, including the Kyrgyz Republic, have led to the emergence of new needs among schoolchildren studying the Russian language. In addition, there is a discrepancy between learning outcomes and the needs of modern schoolchildren. The textbook for grade 11 is an element of an innovative educational and methodological complex that sets a new direction, adjusting both the teaching method and the content of Russian language teaching materials for schools in Kyrgyzstan.
